Ways To Serve
The “American Heritage Dictionary” defines the word ministry as: "The act of Serving". Needs both in our community and in our congregation, lend themselves perfectly as an opportunity for YOU to serve the Lord. Pine Grove Baptist Church acknowledges a variety of needs and offers an equally wide variety of ways to get involved in the Lords work by filling the gaps these needs create.
Many Opportunities To Serve
“F.A.I.T.H.”
Visitation Teams Faith is an outreach ministry for willing members to get involved in community outreach once a week through visitation, letter writing, or phone calling. Come out and help us be an encouragement to local individuals and families who have expressed an interest in our church. If you would like to join a FAITH team please contact Bro. Rickey at willingservant@hughes.net.
Music Ministry
The music ministry of Pine Grove Baptist Church consists of both the church choir and a Praise and Worship Team. Our church choir is open to any and all who would like to make a joyful noise unto the Lord. The Praise and Worship Team is a smaller collection of talented singers/musicians who perform musical specials and lead the church in song each Sunday. If your interested in performing special music or joinin the choir please contact our office at 352-463-2151.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Each June or July, Pine Grove Baptist Church conducts a free weeklong program consisting of religious education, skits, arts and crafts, and religious songs which cater toward elementary aged children. If you would like to help or participate please contact Bro. Emanuel at e.harris@hughes.net
Prayer Groups
We believe in the power of prayer. The prayer chain provides a way for our members to request prayer for a special need and have that request quickly passed on througout the the members of the church. Prayer Groups are held each week to bring these and other needs before the Lord.
Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Baskets
Each year at Christmas our church delivers around 10 holiday food baskets to church families with special needs. The baskets consist of traditional holiday meal items. Donating food items is one small way you can pass on the spirit of Christmas and help ensure these families are able to enjoy a delicious Christmas meal.
